 AT THE 36TH NATIONAL GSD SHOW & RESTRICTED OBEDIENCE TRIAL - 2008 ADELAIDE.

Fred & Hokey's critiques from the 2008 GSD National & Restricted Obedience Show & Trial: 1st Place: This was an excellent performance and typical of the work this team has displayed over many years. Dog and handler work very well together and every exercise was completed at a very high standard with only the occasional minor deduction. Others may have performed some individual exercises better than this dog but her strength is her consistency. She might not be as flashy in her work at times as some, but she knows what she has to do and simply goes about it with a minimum of fuss. Her performance was a pleasure to judge and fully deserving of first place and an Excellent Medallion. Score -191/200 Judge Mr. Brian Fielder.
We have known Fred Lumsden for a long time, back when we were competing in obedience, Fred was an obedience judge. Fred has trained many dogs of various breeds and was a previous member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of SA Inc.
His first Delaforce GSD was 'Delaforce Cool Charisma' (*Alk von Domenica (imp Gmy) X Taurorn Beluschka AZ). Kari as she was affectionately known was trained in obedience by Fred and gained both her CD (Companion Dog) and CDX (Companion Dog Excellent) titles with relative ease. They were a very competitive team often placing in the top 3 at trials. Whilst in training for their Utility Title Kari at 6 yrs of age sadly passed away as a result of complications recovering from bloat.
After coming to terms with losing Kari; Fred came back to us looking for another special girl and took away with him 'Delaforce Hocus Pocus' (*Nilson vom Wildsteiger Land (Imp Gmy) X *Astasia Zola AZ) Naming her Hokey the pair have had some very 'magical times together'.
Fred Lumsden & Delaforce Hocus Pocus - a Zee daugther on attaining their CD title, 3 straight trials - 3 first places with scores of 183, 193 & 191. What a team!
Now CDX - After a few hiccups THE TEAM got it together & went 1 - 189, 2 - 190 & 3 - 194 = CDX. Hokey now has her Utility Title: 1st pass 193 & (1st place), 2nd pass 190 & (1st place), 3rd pass 185 & yep you guessed it 1st place. Fred & Hokey attained their CDX and UD titles in the one year; 2005.

** 13/11/05 GSDC of SA Restricted Trial & Ch Show:
Fred & Hokey Excellent Graded Obedience with a score of 197/200 in the Open Class.
And to top off the day -------- WINNER OF WINNERS!
** 11/06/06: 58th GSDC of SA Inc Championship Show & Restricted Obedience Trials:
Fred & Hokey Excellent Graded Obedience with a score of 192/200 in the Open Class.
** 06/08/06: GSDC of SA Inc Balmead Shield Obedience Trial - Fred & Hokey Excellent Graded Utility Obedience with a score of 194/200 Judge Mr. D Rumble. Also highest scoring pedigree GSD in trial.
** 20/08/06: Riverland Obedience & Kennel Club Inc - FRED & HOKEY gain their fifth & final pass to achieve their ---------- AUSTRALIAN OBEDIENCE CHAMPION TITLE.
To achieve an Obedience Champion title the Dog and handler must pass five (5) Utility Trials with scores of 185 or more. Fred and Hokey did this with a number of their scores being plus 190's. One trial they scored 196/200 under a visiting judge from the United States of America - Mrs. S Sellers - Rose

RUNNER UP 2007 GOLDEN DUMB BELL AWARD PLACEGETTERS (South Australian Canine Association Award; 2nd highest obedience trialling dog in SA) There average score for the years trialling in both Open and Utility class was 187/200. If Fred & Hokey were going for their Obedience Champion Title they would have achieved it easily. In reality they are an obedience champion at least three (3) times over. With Hokey having achieved many goals; Fred decided it was time for another Delaforce girl and put in a specific order for a female from our little sable girl 'Delaforce Im No Angel AZ (Onja). Onja is the neice of Hokey. Hokey's sister Delaforce Hubba Bubba A Z (Chewy) being Onja's mother.
Now in 2008 Fred has another girl to start training, she is:- ' Delaforce Kwint Essential ' (Ch *Kwint vom Juerkistall (imp Neth) x Delaforce Im No Angel AZ) known as Kwintie. The common denominator for all these girls is that of Alk von Domenica who is in all their lines. Fred got see him and was very impressed with his character and temperament. We are very grateful and appreciate all the effort Fred puts into training his girls and in doing so promoting Delaforce Kennels in the Obedience Arena .
